Something is in the air ?

There is a change in the air…

The University of Houston has had a building change, which affects HAVIN and the Insight Expo, but only in the name of the building where we have our annual event. The former Health and Biomedical Sciences Building is now simply called Health 1. The address is still 4901 Calhoun, Houston, TX 77004, and everything inside is still the same.

Going forward, you will now see the location of the Insight Expo as being held at

University of Houston College of Optometry, Health 1 Building – University of Houston central campus

4901 Calhoun, Houston TX 77004

Now that this is cleared up, have you registered to attend the 2020 HAVIN Insight Expo?

It will be on Saturday, March 28, 2020, from 9 AM till 3:30 PM. If you need the address, go back up a couple of paragraphs and see where we said it is at the Health 1 Building!

Pre-registration is still open, so that means you still have time to get in on the chance to win a $50 cash door prize that will be open only to those who pre-registered.

Our keynote speaker is Carley Colton Burns, the President of the Foundation Fighting Blindness Houston Chapter. We will have a wide variety of workshops and speakers sharing information and resources, a light breakfast, a box lunch, as well as a boatload of exhibitors and several door prizes.

Not only that, but get ready to be introduced to some of the coolest and friendliest blind folks you’ll ever meet!

And, all that for only $10 per person…what a deal!

So, if you’re ready to pre-register, here’s the link:

All registration will be conducted online this year. If you or somebody you know needs assistance in getting this done, email or call Stacie Gallegos at (832) 779-7477.
