Registration is open for the next Zoom workshop, Where Do I Fit In Extended Session

We’re listening to you…We are taking the core concept of “Where Do I Fit In?” from our virtual Insight Expo and expanding it to a full workshop of its own. We will have a deeper exploration of this subject and have time for attendee participation, as well. We are also expanding the time we usually have for our workshops to allow for this.

Topic: Where Do I Fit In, extended session
Date: Saturday, April 24, 2021
Time: 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Central Time
Where: Virtual Zoom Meeting

We understand that adjusting to vision loss is a personal journey. It is a tough issue in itself, and figuring out exactly where we fit into this broadly defined world that ranges from low vision to totally blind takes even more time to grasp. We began exploring this at our April 10 Insight Expo and, given the high level of interest and interaction we’ve had, we would like to take the time to go into this in more depth. We will have the HAVIN board members sharing about their particular experience to demonstrate where they fit into this large patchwork world of the visually impaired. But we are also wanting to have interaction with you, our attendees. We are counting on some good interaction and are planning extra time to meet this need.

One of the scariest things we can ever do is go on a journey into an unfamiliar place that we know little or nothing about. It’s a gift to find a helping hand along that pathway who has insight and knowledge to share. It makes the journey a little more comfortable and we can even make new friends as we move forward. This is what we hope to accomplish with this workshop.

So, please make plans to join with us and let us know where you fit in. If you’re not sure where that is, maybe we can help give you some thoughts on that, as well.
